Join us for an intimate conversation with Rebekka Deubner, a Franco-German photographer currently based in Paris. Deubner will discuss her journey as an artist, her sources of inspiration, and the background of her artistic work in a dialogue with Anne-Françoise Lesuisse, artistic director of the BIP (Biennale de l’Image Possible, Liège) and coordinator of the Masters programme in Photography at the The Royal Academy of Fine Arts (KASK, Ghent). This is a unique opportunity to gain insight into Deubner’s creative process and engage directly with the artist.
« When considering the images of Rebekka Deubner, it quickly becomes apparent, for example, that every gaze is accompanied by a concern – that of transformation, and therefore of loss – and that every concern of the gaze is accompanied by a desire – that of preservation. »
— Guillaume Blanc-Marianne
Work by Rebekka Deubner is currently on view in the exhibition À partir d’elle. Artists and their mother.
